The Bank Bag Program Takes Place Across the Country at Our Lakes, Rivers, and Some of the Most Populated Beaches Along the Coast

With the goal to leave our waterways better than the way we found them, thousands of pounds of trash have been picked up thanks to the bank bag incentive.

How It Works

The Bank Bag incentive program utilizes community resources to make a difference in local waterways. Bank Bags are provided to patrons, tournament organizations, retail customers, and schools. Individuals who return a filled Bank Bag receive a $25 aftco.com gift card.

The Impact

By removing trash from the shoreline, participants clean up the habitat and preserve the fishery for years to come. Every minute, the equivalent of one garbage truck filled with plastic is dumped into our oceans from land-based sources. Programs like these — along with a reduction in plastic consumption — will help counteract this trend.

Bank Bags in Action

"Utilizing AFTCO Bank Bags to collect trash and other debris from the Lake St. Clair Metropark is just one way that the high school bass fishing anglers are effectively giving back to the sport they love. With approximately 150 high school fishing teams in the state of Michigan, it is one of the hot beds of scholastic bass fishing."

We first unveiled the Bank Bag program in 2019, along with a number of other freshwater conservation initiatives like the Bass Bus Live Release Boat. Since then, we have partnered with an extensive network that includes B.A.S.S. Nation, colleges, conservation groups, retailers, and local tournaments across the country.
