AFTCO CAPTAIN'S BAG

The AFTCO Captain’s bag is a fully padded, lined and “constructed” bag with a molded waterproof bottom, designed to hold all your needs on the bridge of the boat or on an overnight trip. This is the bag to hold and protect all of your valuables while on the water, with a total of 11 specialty compartments designed to hold large, expensive, high-powered stabilized binoculars, hand held GPS and VHF radios, cell or sat phones, PDAs, personal epirbs, car keys and wallets, log books, sunglasses, first aid kits, flashlights and other boat essentials in specially padded and water-proof compartments. The Captain’s bag is 18” long 10” wide and 12” high, and sewn with a super-durable 600-denier Cordura nylon exterior with all water-proof sealed nylon zippers. It has a removable shoulder strap and a comfortable carry handle with neoprene closure. This is the only bag you will need to handle all of your critical boating essentials, and have them all dry and protected at all times.

AFTCO FIBERGLASS GAFFS

AFTCO fiberglass, tapered gaffs feature a special thick-walled, extremely strong but lightweight e-glass handle construction custom made for extreme strength and rigidity. All of our fiberglass handles are made on proprietary mandrels using specific tapers developed by AFTCO. They are available in 4’, 6’ and 8’ lengths and have the same 316L or N50 stainless steel hooks used in our popular Taper-Tip aluminum series of gaffs. Our exclusive “wedge-lok” assembly process is used to assemble all of the hooks into the e-glass handles. The new fiberglass gaffs have a rich-looking dark brown epoxy finish with hand-wrapped black and metallic gold and blue thread trim wraps. All of the fiberglass series gaffs have handsome and extremely functional black nylon seine cord wrapped handles with hand-finished Turk’s heads on each end of the wrapped grips. All of the seine cord and Turk’s heads are finished with epoxy for durability and extra tackiness when gripped with wet or slimy hands. A large rubber “mushroom-style” butt cap finishes the butt-end of each handle. The new fiberglass gaffs are available with 2”, 3” and 4” hooks. All of the 2”and 3” hooks are 5/16” diameter 316L stainless steel, and the 4” hooks are all N50 stainless steel. All of the 6’ and 8’ models float.

There are a total of 12 models of fiberglass gaffs and all of the 6’ and 8’ models will float if dropped overboard. Handles and grip made in China, all hooks and assembly done in USA of USA materials.

AFTCO’S MAXFORCE HARNESS

AFTCO Maxforce™ AFH-1 Stand Up Harness

For fighting big game fish stand-up style, the AFTCO Maxforce™ is the ultimate in harness design for 30-130lb tackle. The combination of lumbar and sit-in pads distributes the load below the hips, allowing the lower body to exert maximum pulling leverage with superb comfort under heavy drag loads.

The AFTCO Maxforce Harness™ features a super-comfort molded, closed-cell EVA foam padding, with a tough, waterproof lycra polyester cover. The harness liner is made from synthetic terry cloth, which not only wicks moisture, but has enough “tooth” to keep the harness from slipping around and chafing. Attached to the inside liner is a name and ID tag.

The AFTCO Maxforce™ Harness includes both stainless “cross lock” snaps and “quick release” hooks for securing harness to reel lugs. The self-adjusting reel attachment straps prevent the harness from riding up, and provide the best pulling angle for maximum leverage. Stainless D-rings for drop straps are double-sewn and cross-stitched into the harness, and a molded rubber safety/grab handle is also double-stainless riveted and box-stitched into the back of the belt. All of the ultra heavy duty nylon web straps feature top quality, corrosion proof, “quick-release” nylon buckles or adjusters. Included is a mesh bag with hanging grommets for easy rinsing and storage of the Maxforce harness.

January 2007, Irvine, CA- AFTCO Mfg. Co., Inc. has just introduced their new line of gold anodized aluminum fighting belts in 3 different sizes to fit tackle from 20-130lb test. All of AFTCO’s new Fighting Belts are constructed from thick and durable stamped marine-grade aluminum plate with a gold anodized, corrosion resistant finish with laser-etched AFTCO logo. The belts feature a super-durable, co-molded, closed-cell polyethylene pad which is co-molded right to the aluminum plate. The waterproof pad is textured to eliminate slippage on the thighs, and vented for comfort during long stand-up battles. The AFTCO Fighting Belts have a unique, removable gimbal pocket which allows the versatile stainless gimbal-pin to be changed from vertical to horizontal positions, or completely removed from the belt. The rugged gimbal pocket is made from molded, glass-filled nylon composite, with stainless steel fasteners. A handy Allen wrench is included for easy gimbal-pin changes. AFTCO’s exclusive attaching clips allow the 2” nylon-web belt to be easily un-clipped at the corners of the plate or at the back of the adjustable belt. This gives the angler or crew 3 easy ways to put the belt on in the heat of the battle. All of the AFTCO Fighting Belts are adjustable to fit waist sizes from 28” to over 50”, and they all float! AFTCO’S NEW FB-2 FISH BAT

AFTCO’s new FB-2 Fish Bat is replacing the old FB-1. The FB-2 is made of super-strong, molded, glass- filled polypropylene. The new FB-2 is 19 inches long and 2 _ inches wide with a special triangular shape that will not roll around on the deck of a rocking boat. The handle has an aggressive, molded-in, textured grip for non-slip performance with wet or slimy hands. It is totally waterproof and corrosion proof, will not scratch or mar decks or gelcoat, and it floats! There is a braided rope safety lanyard and a special handle hook to allow the fish bat to be hung from a railing or ladder. It is slightly heavier than our discontinued, aluminum FB-1 at 1.3 pounds, and it hits very hard! Finally, the best news of all, is that the price of the new and improved FB-2 is the same as the old FB-1 and it is available immediately!
